Screw Drive Openers
The Screw Drive Opener is quieter than the Chain Drive, but noisier than the Belt Drive. This garage door opener uses a lifting assembly that runs along a threaded rod. The screw drive needs less maintenance than a chain drive opener because there are fewer moving parts. The long screw needs to be greased once a year. This is easily assessable along the bottom of the operator track.
Our years of experience in the industry, teaches us that the screw drive opener works best in an environment where there are not dramatic changes in the temperature. In areas where there are very hot summers and very cold winters, this opener does not hold up very well.
