Our success story began as a family business more than 20 years ago.
Precision Door Service, organized as a partnership in 1997. With a vision of building the best garage door company in the country, our founders initiated the franchise program that we have today. This program was successfully launched in 2001, and was designed to facilitate our national expansion.
We have more than 70 locations in major cities across the United States.
Our rapid successful growth was recognized by Entrepreneur. Magazine. In 2004 we ranked #13 in their listing of the top 20 new franchises in the country. Your local Precision Door Service was one of the first franchises in the country.
Raymond Thorsky, a former United States Marine, (1963-1967) and a licensed general contractor saw the vision of the company. He opened the original office, January of 2001. Originally located in the city of Glendale, it served the people of the greater Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena areas.
Eight years later and with over 14,000 satisfied customers,
Ray Thorsky’s Precision Door now serves customers from Beverly Hills to Rancho Cucamonga.
Our vision is to establish Precision Door Service as the national standard in the garage door industry.
Our goal is to exceed customer expectations.
Precision Door History Overview
Beginning
Precision Door started as a family business in the late 1980’s. With aspirations of building the best garage door company in America, our founders began a franchise program that would be designed to nationally expand. In 1997 Precision Door Service organized as a partnership.
Incorporation
Precision Door Service began its expansion nationwide through franchising and was incorporated in Arizona in the year 1999. In 2001, Precision Door Service moved its corporate headquarters from Arizona to Florida. The corporate headquarters of Precision Holdings of Brevard, Inc. is now located in Titusville, Florida.
Growth
We now have over 70 locations across the United States and continue to grow every year.
